Industrial League Expanding

About the League

History

One of the longest running tennis leagues in Indianapolis, the Indianapolis Industrial League continues strong at West Indy Racquet Club. Since its inception in 1937, this 80+-year-old league has offered team competition among mixed level teams ranging from NTRP 3.5-5.0+, a unique difference from USTA match play.

Format

There are seven teams in the league. On Saturday mornings from September through April, six teams face off in three singles matches and three doubles matches. The teams play 90-minute timed matches in hopes of cumulative scores throughout the season that leads to overall league victory.

The Indianapolis Industrial League season is 21 weeks + 3 weeks of play-offs. The 21-week season determines each team’s ranking in the league in preparation for the 3 weeks of play-offs, which determine the league champion.
